✂️ Scrappic

Terms of Service

Last updated: 28 August 2026

These are the rules for using Scrappic. We've kept them in plain English, because terms nobody can read aren't worth writing.

1. Who you're dealing with

Scrappic is operated by Jon Van Zandt, trading as Scrappic, of 31 Gatekeeper Close, Newcastle upon Tyne, NE13 9EH, United Kingdom.

You can reach us at support@scrappic.co.uk. We answer emails within two working days.

We are not currently registered for VAT, so our prices contain no VAT element.

2. Using Scrappic

You need an account to save your work and to buy anything. You must be 18 or over to buy credits, a subscription or a printed order. Under-18s are welcome to use the free features with a parent or guardian's permission.

Keep your password to yourself - you're responsible for what happens on your account. Tell us straight away if you think someone else is using it.

One person, one account. Don't try to break, overload or reverse-engineer the service, and don't use automated tools to hammer it.

3. Your photos stay yours

You keep all rights to the photos you upload and to everything you make with them. We do not sell your photos and we do not use them to advertise Scrappic.

To make the service work, you give us permission to store your photos, send them to our AI provider to be processed, and send them to our print partner when you place an order. That permission ends when you delete the photo or your account.

You must have the right to use the photos you upload

By uploading a photo you confirm that it's yours, or that you have permission from whoever owns it and from the people in it. Please don't upload photos of other people's children. This matters - it's the one rule that can get an account closed on the spot.

You must not upload anything unlawful, hateful, sexual, violent, or designed to impersonate or humiliate a real person. We can remove content and close accounts that break this rule, without a refund of credits already spent.

4. Credits

AI features run on credits. Buying credits buys you a licence to use the AI features - credits are not money, have no cash value, can't be transferred between accounts, and can't be exchanged for cash.

Prices for credits and plans are shown in the app and may change. A change never affects credits you've already bought, and we'll tell subscribers before their next payment.

5. Subscriptions

Plus and Studio are monthly subscriptions that renew automatically until you cancel. Payment is taken on the same date each month by our payment provider, Stripe.

Cancelling is two taps - open your account, choose "Manage billing", and cancel. You keep your plan and its credits until the end of the month you've paid for, then move to the Free plan. Credits you've already been given stay in your account.

If a payment fails we'll retry it and let you know. If it keeps failing, the subscription ends and you drop to the Free plan.

See Refunds & cancellations for your legal right to change your mind.

6. AI creations - what we can and can't promise

The AI features are powered by Google's Gemini models. That means:

Because AI output can't be guaranteed to be unique, we can't promise that nobody else will ever generate something similar.

7. Printed orders

Cards, scrapbooks, t-shirts, stickers and prints are made and posted by our professional print partner in the UK. When you place an order you're buying from us; we arrange the printing and delivery.

You'll see the full price, including delivery, before you pay. We'll send an order confirmation by email, and tracking where the delivery method provides it.

Delivery estimates are estimates. Printed items are made to order, so please allow the timescale shown at checkout before chasing.

Because every printed item is personalised to you, your right to change your mind is limited - please read Refunds & cancellations before ordering. Faulty, damaged or wrong items are always put right.

8. Availability

We aim to keep Scrappic running, but it's a small independent service. Features can change, and occasionally break. We may add, change or withdraw features, and we may suspend the service for maintenance.

If we withdraw a paid feature permanently, we'll give subscribers reasonable notice and a fair refund of the unused part of the month.

9. Where we stand on liability

Nothing here limits your legal rights as a consumer, or our liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, or for fraud. Those can't be signed away, and we're not trying to.

Beyond that, and because Scrappic is a low-cost consumer service: we're not liable for indirect or unforeseeable losses, for lost data where you haven't kept your own copy of an original photo, or for a printed gift not arriving in time for a specific occasion where the delay was outside our control. Please keep your original photos.

Where we are liable, our liability is limited to the amount you've paid us in the twelve months before the problem arose.

10. Ending things

You can delete your account at any time from the account screen. Deleting removes your creations from our systems - so download anything you want to keep first.

We can suspend or close an account that breaks these terms, particularly the rules about other people's photos. Where it's fair to do so, we'll refund unused credits.

11. Changes to these terms

We'll update this page when things change, and the date at the top will tell you when. If a change materially affects you as a paying customer, we'll email you first.

12. Law

These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales, and disputes can be brought in the courts of England and Wales. If you live in Scotland or Northern Ireland you can also bring proceedings in your own courts.

If we can't sort something out between us, you can use the government's free Citizens Advice consumer service.
